Reads the real angle
The lid sensor drives every frame. Move slowly and the fade drifts; close quickly and it catches up naturally.
Native to the hinge
MacBend gives your MacBook a beautifully paced, edge-to-edge fade as the display comes down. No shrinking. No abrupt blackout. Just motion that feels connected.
One continuous gesture
The lid sensor drives every frame. Move slowly and the fade drifts; close quickly and it catches up naturally.
The transition stays edge-to-edge at 60 fps, with no resizing and no image saved to disk.
Adjust response, softness, timing, and the exact angle where the fade begins.

Yours once. Yours for good.
One personal license, private DMG delivery, and activation on up to three Macs you own.
Two-minute setup
After checkout, open MacBend.dmg and drag MacBend into your Applications folder.
Because MacBend is sold directly and not through the Mac App Store, macOS shows “Apple could not verify MacBend” on first open. Click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security and press Open Anyway.
One toggle in the same window. MacBend reads desktop pixels only to draw the fade — nothing is stored, recorded, or sent anywhere.
macOS uses that permission whenever an app reads the desktop pixels. MacBend sends each frame directly to the GPU for the fade and immediately discards it.
MacBend is distributed directly from this site, outside the Mac App Store. macOS shows a one-time warning for any app without an Apple notarization ticket. The “Open Anyway” steps above are safe and only needed once.
Apple silicon MacBooks running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Desktop Macs and older Intel MacBooks don’t provide the required lid-angle sensor.
The DMG is delivered only after a completed payment. Each order receives its own license key, with activations limited to the purchaser’s Macs.
